Remember those necklaces we made as kids called daisy chains?  Here's your chance to make them again - this time in a lace baby blanket called Daisy Chain!  This delicate blanket has an all over lace pattern of flowers contained within diamonds and surrounded with an eyelet edging.

The blanket is large enough (37 inches long by 35 inches wide) to use as a stroller cover while still being light and airy so as not to overheat baby.  The lace pattern is perfect as a 'first lace project' for those knitters wishing to widen their horizons and entertaining enough to engage more experienced knitters.  Suggested retail cost:  $5.00

Gauge:  24 sts and 28 rows = 4 inches

Materials: 

800 yds sport weight (12-13 wpi) yarn

size 6 straight needles

size 6, 32 inch circular needles

Model was knit using 4 skeins (200 yards/70 grams) of Lorna's Laces shepherd sport 100% machine washable wool yarn in color '13ns Aqua'.
