    Current and fun original knitting patterns

           Kimber Baldwin Designs specializes in knitting patterns for hand knitting of children's garments.  These knitting patterns are printed on  ultra bright acid-free 28 lb archival quality paper to ensure longevity of your pattern.   All patterns contain a colored picture of the finished article(s), a detailed materials list, illustrated instructions, and garment dimensions.  Knitters will find these patterns to be more detailed and easier to follow than many patterns.

Patterns are available through your local yarn store and I highly encourage you to patronize these businesses.  If your local yarn store does not yet carry these patterns, please let them know they may be directly ordered from me and I will ship them to your store as soon as possible.  If you do not have a local yarn store, you may order the patterns from me for retail cost + shipping.

Look for a new pattern to be available approximately once a month.  The newest pattern is featured in the What's New section of this website.

PATTERN QUALITY:  Patterns are printed on white acid-free 32 lb paper.  All patterns include a color photo on the front page, a schematic with dimensions on the last page, figures of any nonstandard pieces (for instance- the eye sockets), a table of standard knitting abbreviations that are used in the pattern, yardage and wraps per inch (wpi) for appropriate yarn substitution, gauge, and explicit line-by-line directions.  These patterns are more detailed in explanation than typical knitting patterns, making them easier for newer knitters to follow.  All patterns are proofed by 3 technical writers (a professional knitter, a novice knitter, and a non-knitter) for accuracy and clarity.
